Preparation Note

Description This PT sample is packaged as a 1.5 mL concentrate. The solvent for this sample is acetone. The PT sample is not preserved.Sample Preparation This ampule contains a concentrate of Base/Neutral compounds in acetone. When prepared according to instructions, the concentration of each analyte will be less than 200 µg/L. To prepare solution, add 1 L of reagent water to a 2-L separatory funnel. Open ampule PE1171-2ML (be careful to avoid cuts on glass) and transfer exactly 1.0 mL of the concentrate to the separatory funnel. Mix well. The sample is now ready for analysis. For calculations, assume initial sample volume was 1000 mL.Matrix Modifier MMW - 001 is intended to modify the products to simulate a wastewater sample. The final dilution will replace the use of DI (Reagent Grade) water for the preparation of the appropriate CRM/QC sample. The sample will add turbidity and TSS to the final volume. These do not affect the properties of the analytes of interest in the final sample if prepared according to instructions. Note: Filtration may be necessary as required by your method. To use the matrix modifier simply mix Wastewater Matrix Modifier as specified in the MMW-001 instructions. Use this solution in place of the reagent grade water in the instructions above.
